Meet Shannon + Family

Meet Shannon, and her three young children. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Shannon’s parents are Habitat homeowners. They are actually the ones that encouraged her to apply! Shannon, although young at the time, recalls the building process as very family orientated and brought many culture together. After completing school, she moved to Georgia where she works as an optometrist technician. After struggling with the high cost of rent for many years, Shannon took a leap of faith and applied for a Habitat home. She wanted to make an investment for her and her kids. She feels very blessed to have been chosen and is thankful for the bonds she has developed with her future neighbors.
